Hi,

I'm new to surround gaming but have jumped in and may now be drowning.

I've just purchased 2 460gtx cards to run my three Dell 22" monitors in 2d surround vision.

Problem is I can't get the SLI config to work. I have (2) Dell 2209WA monitors with a 59hz refresh rate and (1) P2210 with a 60Hz refresh rate. Is that the problem? Do all three monitors have to have the same refresh rate? or is it just that the latest drivers do not like the 59hz refresh rate? I ask because I tried to replace the (2) 59hz monitors with (2) 19" monitors at 60hz and I got the surround to work at 5040x1040, but of course I want the surround to be with the 22" monitors.

So my question is before I jump in and buy another 2209WA from dell, is it the different refresh rates that is causing the problem? or the odd 59hz refresh rate? I tried to change the rates to 60hz, which is an option but it would always revert back to 59hz.

Does anyone have the 2209WA from dell working in surround?

Thanks
Jim V

Hm. Weird. nVidia states that the monitors must all be share the same common resolution, refresh rate and sync polarity, so I suspect that it's the monitors differing on that last one that is doing it... as I'm running two 2405's and a U2410 in Surround without issues at both 59Hz and 60Hz (some games won't let me select 60Hz for some reason...)

A third 2209 might be an idea I guess. Surround still has some interesting teething problems. :)
