So 120hz 1920x1200 monitors don't exist and won't for a long time (apparently) because of the physical limitations of the DVI spec, so the only option is 1080p for S3D, unless you're okay with 1680x1050 (I'm not). The only 120hz 1080p monitor I've found is this one:

http://www.engadget.com/2009/12/09/nvidia-shows-its-3d-blu-ray-readiness-in-run-up-to-ces-acer-dem/

and I don't know what that monitor is called, when/if it will be available, or if even it really is 1080p (the article seems to imply that it is, but I can't be sure).

Otherwise, I'll have to go with HD3DTVs, and I'm planning a triple 3DVS setup, so I need screens as cheap and small as possible (under $1000 per panel). The smallest I've found are 32":

$550 on sale, normally $750
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/LG+-+32%22+Class+/+1080p+/+120Hz+/+LCD+HDTV/9244668.p?skuId=9244668&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=9244668&ref=06&loc=01&id=1218066285003

$600
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BRAVIA-KDL-32XBR9-32-Inch-1080p/dp/B001TKJ7XQ

$800
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16889102267

Any of these will work with 3DVS, because any 120hz display can run in 3D, right? I've heard some displays (TVs) are "fake" 120hz, so I assume those wouldn't run in 3D, but I'm not sure what that means or even if it's true. How would I know?

I won't be building for six months to a year (probably the latter); maybe some 120hz 1080p/1200p monitors or smaller 1080p TVs will come out in that time.

This absolutely, It's a waste of your time even bothering looking for anything computer related even a few months in advance before buying.

Yeah, I know. I'm sure I won't actually end up buying anything available now; there'll be better stuff later.

EDIT: I found this on another topic:

http://us.acer.com/acer/product.do?LanguageISOCtxParam=en&rcond5e.c2att92=169&inu49e.current.c2att92=169&link=ln314e&CountryISOCtxParam=US&kcond47e.c2att92=169&rcond159e.att21k=1&kcond48e.c2att101=72192&rcond190e.att21k=1&acond23=US&rcond4e.att21k=1&sp=page17e&rcond157e.c2att92=169&ctx1g.c2att92=169&rcond42e.att21k=1&kcond50e.c2att92=169&rcond45e.att21k=1&rcond158e.c2att1=0&ctx2.c2att1=0&inu53e.current.c2att92=169&rcond38e.c2att1=25&var13e=US&rcond44e.c2att1=0&rcond186e.c2att92=169&rcond3e.c2att1=0&rcond28e.attN2B2F2EEF=3264&rcond189e.c2att1=0&ctx1.att21k=1&CRC=3204888204

So there are some 120hz 1080p monitors (or at least one).

Low input lag
With low input lag, you can charge your enemies in real time and make the kill before they even know what hit them. (In DVI mode only).

I love statements like that. What is "Low" lag? 30ms? 1ms?

If the screen is 120Hz, you would expect 0ms lag, with the response time of the screen you are looking at ~8ms lag anyway.

Well if anybody wants to be the test dummy for this and see how :triplewide works in this with the 3D I would be interested in their results and experience. However, I am not sold on this idea as of yet, mostly because I got 3 Dell's just this past month, so I don't plan on exchanging them for something that hasn't won me over yet.

Actually I've already Tried it. It's wonderful. After playing in 3D Surround, I'm kinda sold. I've been using anaglyph and the extra depth is amazing. In racing games, I can actually tell distance now. In shooters (UT3) It's easier dodge bullet (u can actually see them in UT3). It's just amazing personally. There is some color issues with anaglyph, but there is no reason not to try it out if you can. ATI has the Free iZ3D driver, and NVidia (I believe) Still has there own built in 3D stuff. Just remember when using 3D it has to render the picture twice, so you are gonna get a performance hit. I now play at 720p each panel because it keeps frames above 40 on most games. If you go 3x800x480, games look too crappy for the 3D effect to be useful.

Game I recommended for 3D Surround:
Gears of War
UT3
Dirt 1 and Dirt 2
Project 64 Emulator
Dolphin (Gamecube and Wii Emulator) Build r4986 (For ATI use the DirectX9 3D Plugin)

As far as inexpensive 120Hz 1080p HDTVs you should watch this site like a hawk with your RSS reader.

One thing to look out for on tv's is that the refresh rate is often done by the tv panel itself, ie it doubles the 60 hz internally to 120 hz to give you a smoother image, but it dosent mean that you can use it as 120 fps monitor. In most cases 60hz is the max input, even if its a 600hz tv.

Ps plasma is much faster for gaming and cheaper now

You can play N64/GCN/Wii in 3D surround? How does that work?
