Skyrim Special Edition 21:9 fix for anyone.
Simply navigate to C:\Users\"username"\Documents\my games\Skyrim Special Edition\Skyrim Prefs and edit: iSize H=1080, and iSize W=1920 to whatever your resolution is. Save and set to read only on the file properties. All set worked for me :) For example on my 21:9 I set it to iSize H=1080, and iSize W=2560 and have had no issues.

This does work but like vanilla Skyrim, you will have some UI cropping. Flawless Widescreen had a fix for this in the older version, I suppose its a matter of time before they move that over to SE.

My hud is scaled correctly. I know this was an issue on OG Skyrim, but this seems to scale properly. No issues here.

I somehow doubt the sincerity of your post.

Some of the UI scales fine. Loading saves and viewing inventories is where the problem kicks in.

I'm playing Special Edition fine at 2560x1080, but I don't know my carry weight, my health/stamina/magicka stats, or how much gold I have due to the menus being zoomed in :( A fix should be very easy I think, all the files are essentially the same from the original version, ini tweaks still work similar. Most menus are fine and scale correctly, the only screens that I think are zoomed in is the Perk selection screen and inventories. Really hope a fix is released soon as it's super annoying not even knowing how much I can carry haha.

I'm hoping Hayden will come to our rescue and update Flawless Widescreen with a fix for Skryim SE — maybe if we donate some $$ to the project?

So for me to use it I had to turn my crosshair off because my entire HUD was on the left side. Also, make sure you make your character before you enable it because you can't navigate that menu with your keyboard and its too large to use your mouse on. Other than that, you can pretty much get through all of the HUD stuff with your keyboard, and you get 5760x1080. so Enjoy!! :D Let's hope they get flawless widescreen out soon haha

Can you give us more detail on how you use this tool, where you get it, etc.?

Here: https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming/releases

So basically you need to run it in windowed mode, then activate borderless gaming. Afterwards, activate Skyrim Special edition within BG.

For those who say that all you need to do within the SkyrimPrefs.ini is change the iSize width, I went in and set mine to 5760, left the height at 1080, saved and that didn't seem to do anything. Also tried shifting that between fullscreen and windowed. Was there anything else that I needed to do? Or anything I messed up on?

I tried the .ini method, but it ends up cutting off the top and bottom of the screen, so it really just looks zoomed in. I tried changing the FOV but I couldn't get it work for me.

As I understand it, Flawless Widescreen will basically extend the graphics to the sides without changing the "zoom" factor so that you are seeing more of a panoramic view.

From what I've seen so far with this special edition, modding the original gives far better graphics and play-ability. I'm curious to see what kind of mods will be available for the special edition, or if the modding community will even bother with it. Not very impressed with this Special Edition so far.

As everyone already confirmed, changing .ini does not work with the UI.. :( Damnit it I was so looking forward to playing this the whole weekend!
Hoping there's going to be a fix for it soon, I'll even donate!

Now why am i not surprised?
The only reason this game exists is because of PS4 and XboxOne.... they simply had the Mercy to port it to PC too.

This does nothing to fix the inventory and menu issue on triple monitor setup.

While I appreciate the effort, I'm not sure it addresses a triple-monitor rig. I tried it out on my 5760x1200 setup and it didn't help, unfortunately.

For any interested these are both working solutions. I tested them since i have triple wide and my granddaughter is on 21:9. They will hold us till Flawless gets updated. NOTE: loading screens are still blown up and the FOV is not addressed. a true fix requires flawless to inject data to rescale everything including the viewport.

You are awesome, sir. As you say, it's not perfect, but it resolves the urgent issues of the HUD. I used it in a 5760x1200 environment.

Exactly, that's why I said it has HUD issues. However, It's a good temporary fix for those like myself who can't get the game to even show up in 5760x1080 using the .ini fix.

Weird. This was only a partial fix for me. Main menu and loading is too zoomed but usable. Escape screen works, but inventory is totally unusable.

Edit:

Here is what triple-wide looks like using the INI fix and theSkytim SE Surround mod on the Nexus. It looks like it adds SkyUI (Without SKSE obviously).

Also, I'm finding that DOF detection is broken, so it often focuses on the foreground even when your cursor is off in the distance. If you don't like DOF, no big deal, but I personally liked it. :(

So is it official that like there's someone DEFINITELY working on a flawless widescreen fix? Cuz....I've seen nothing from Hayden or 'Fax regarding this ANYWHERE...Is it all an assumption? Is there a record of confirmation? Or does someone else need to learn to be awesome?

Also, looks like Hayden hasn't been on wsgf in months...

Thanks for the information but it isn't an actual fix until the HuD stays on the center screen at all times, especially including inventory and categorized favorites menu (until skse is released and we get actual hotkey mods like mhp and hk++).

OK guys, I took a chance and tried contacting the man himself. And it appears that they didn't allow him to receive his copy of SSE. I began to make it clear how many had mentioned that they recently donated and would probably do it again, but before I could finish typing that message, he replied "Looks like some have already donated." So you know, we shouldn't just take it for granted that he's ALWAYS going to do this for us. Nothing for certain, he mentioned he may look into it, and it's a huge undertaking so we should remember that.

Just wanted to update everyone.

Yeah, it seems 21:9 isn't having quite as big of a problem as us surround users :x

It is finally been uploaded with a version that works for surround. Amazing tedious work no doubt. But it still isn't quite FWS. I can't try different resolutions for some extra fps, and a couple of things aren't perfectly placed, but maybe FWS or SKSESE will come out with movable, savable, UI support.

I used the Geforce Experience app to customize the resolution and Skrim SE Surround mod to fix the UI / HUD / GUI (whatever)

The mod is not available in the game's built in mod library. You have to copy the files directly into the Data folder.

IMPORTANT:
If you want the UI in the center instead of on the sides, make a file called SkyrimCustom.ini in c:\users\_yourusername_\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\ and copy paste the following:

[Interface]
fSafeZoneX=250.0
fSafeZoneXWide=1300.0
fInventory3DBoundRadiusScale = 8
fInventory3DItemPosXWide = -21
fInventory3DItemPosYWide = -900
fMagic3DItemPosScaleWide = 0.8
fMagic3DItemPosXWide = -14
fMagic3DItemPosYWide = -600
fUIMistMenu_DefaultLogoNIFScale = 0.3
fUIAltLogoModel_TranslateX_G = -25
fInventoryLightRadius = 1200
fPlayerBodyEditDistance = 350
fPlayerFaceEditDistance = 200

This is for 5760x1080 and can be tweaked if you have bezel correction or something, but much easier to just leave it off. Now you don't have to break your neck and you have full UI in Skyrim SE.

This, above, works for me perfectly with 5760x1080 Eyefinity but when I try to fast travel the confirm "yes no place marker" window is just beyond my cursor on the map. I cannot exit the map and I have to restart Skyrim Special Edition. Any suggestion for what to adjust?

I didn't get any help here in the forum to answer my question on how to make it work, but this explains it pretty simply for those having problems. Appears to be working on 21x9 @ 3440x1440.
