You will see a performance increase from one 580 to 2x 580s generally, but you may not necessarily get better performance with Nvidia Surround over the TH2Go alone - and I have read that FSX is more CPU dependent and that SLI can even slow down FSX - but don't take my word for it, I just vaguely remember reading that somewhere. If you play other games besides FSX, then I'd say it might be worth the investment, but that depends primarily on your screen resolution.
The advantages of going to NVIDIA Surround are being able to use resolutions above 5040x1050, it's generally easier to setup (in my experience), and you get "improved" bezel management support. I put improved in quotes, because some people prefer the TH2Go's bezel management. If none of those matter to you, then there probably isn't much point in switching.
