Post subject:	Skyrim Multi-Monitor Mods Database
Let's face it, we are a special set of players with special needs. 1 Monitor is not enough and thus most of us have 3 :D Skyrim like Oblivion before it has a much greater potential than the vanilla experience in the hands the community and it's modders. WSGF is at the front of this idea with Haydens multi-monitor fix. Without it playing the game in surround would not really even be possible (special note to Helifax's fix as well) However due to the special circumstances that we play with a higher resolution/fov certain mods that others use may not work well for us. So I would like to put together a little database of the mods we use in multi-monitor mode so that others can come here and get the shortlist of the best mods to use and know what to expect when using them. Here is the template. > Mod Name > Description > Download Location > Does the mod have any negative effects in performance or compatibility? The last field is key, a mod that drops 3fps for a single screen user and uses up an extra 500MB of RAM for textures may cause a 2GB RAM demand and a 25fps loss in multi-monitor. Other mods possibly wont work at all in multi-monitor mode or could break compatibility with Haydens fix. So that is why we need to pool our knowledge together and share our experiences/results. I'll start us off with the 4 that I use currently (pretty much the standard I think for everybody) Mod Name: Haydens Skyrim Multi-Monitor Fix Description: This is the most important tool for surround players fixing the numerous distortions and game errors when trying to play with surround mode. Download: You should be able to always find the latest version here at WSGF in the games Detailed Report Notes: This is a must, without it the game is pretty much not playable. No performance hit detected with mod enabled. Mod Name: Skyboost (Skyrim Boost) Description: This is the successor of TESVAL, it free's up CPU resources by fixing a lot of the games native code and thus gives a lot of users a pretty heafty fps increase. Download: The authors home site: http://alexander.sannybuilder.com/?category=other&altname=skyrim_boost Notes: Another must have, no reason to not free up some cpu overhead and perhaps get some performance increase out of it. Mod Name: SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender) Description: The core working for Skyboost and TESVAL it is needed for those mods and also a foundation for other mods. You will need/want to have this installed as it fixes a lot of stuff with the game. Download: The authors home site: http://skse.silverlock.org/ Notes: This is needed for other mods to work, so install this and get it working. No performance hit for multi-monitor. Mod Name: SkyUI Description: One of the most popular custom UI for the game, it's said to be more "PC orientated" and less "Console" allowing you to see more information on screen at once and its better organized. Download: This one you will want to get from the Skyrim Nexus Notes: I feel this is a much much better UI than stock but yet does not detour far away from the original look. Still not completed but worth using. No performance hit with this mod, works fine in multi-monitor.

I see your mods are mostly for function, and i wasnt sure if you were looking for anything here or just performance improvements. I definitely don't have my ducks quite as in order but heres what i run. Mod name: RWT Realistic Water Textures Description: i think it makes a huge improvment, the water just looks amazing Download: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=711 Notes: i didnt notice any real fps change Mod name: Skyrim HD - 2k Textures Description: huge texture repack and quality boost Download: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=607 Notes: definitely lost some fps here, but i was never one of the guys that was dying for fps though. I always ran around the mid thirties and peaked around 40, this dropped me to the low thirties and i do occasionally high the high 20s but its rare and doesnt bother me. Now, i run a few mods, one to change angles on the faces and another to change textures, one to change bodys a bit and such. . However what i have has been replaced by the author. there is now one download that does it all and its the work of multiple users globbed into one. i like this guys stuff but i guess your milage may vary, and theres like 10 mods packed into one here. heres the new one: Mod Name: XCE - Xenius Character Enhancement Description: i pretty much put this in the text above Download: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2356 Notes: this was a big jump, it was subtle with just the angles mod i got but combined with the textures and fixed (like this dl has) it was awesome. didnt notice fps change I also run an HD Sky repack that adds Aurora effects and more stars and other craziness. But i can't find the dload, i know it too was on Skyrimnexus though.

Anisotropic Filtering: NOTE: For me this is the biggest performance hit of all the settings 8 Samples - 1920x1200 Single Screen Off (best performance) - 5760x1200 Triple Screen Eyefinity (NOTE: Same notation as Antialiasing setting but come with a hefty performance hit.) Advanced Details Texture Quality: High Radial Blur Quality: High Shadow Detail: Ultra Decal Quantity: Ultra FXAA: Checked Reflect Land: Checked Reflect Trees: Checked Reflect Objects: Checked Reflect Sky: Checked View Distance Object Fade: 15 Actor Fade: 15 Grass Fade: 7 Specularity Fade: 20 Light Fade: 35 Item Fade: 15 Distant Object Detail: Ultra Object Detail Fade: Checked With all the mods activated, so far these are my findings. 1920x1200 - 45-150+ fps. avg. 60+ fps - (I have actually seen Fraps hit over 300+ fps in some in-game spots, very cool) 5760x1200 - 20- 90+ fps. avg. 35-45 fps - (funny even when I dip to 20 fps I have not experienced too much choppiness it seems to feel very smooth) Comments welcome, Thanks Vicious we need this. Love the game.
