Post subject:  Some games start - all monitors go black and lock up PC

Hi all, I finally got my third Acer gd235 monitor and have been trying out various games to see how well they run. Naturally, I've encountered some problems - more than I expected but probably no more than is normal!

Running: Win 7 64, i7 960, 6gbs ram, 2xgtx 480's SLI, nvidia 3d surround

A few games I've tried that 'should' work instead seem to hang the PC and require a hard reboot.

Drakensang - the black eye is one example - looks to load at full triple monitor rez, then locks up my machine.

Had the same issue with LFD2 - lock up

Alpha Protocol can be run with FoV tweaks, looks great but impossible to play because menus are off the screen between missions (can't select mission).

LFD (original)- runs well, but menus are split to left and right screens so tough to see

Medieval Total War stretches out, Rez shows up in settings but Looks bad, I would rather play it on one monitor.

Batman arcane asylum runs almost perfect (aside from some cut scenes)

All in all I've got mixed feelings, lots more games to try, but this definitely is not out of the box functional (guess I should have expected that ). Granted the games that do look good are sweet!

So far I think my favorite thing about the 3 monitors is running full screen 360 degree panorama pictures! Now that's pretty damn cool!

Tried a few more games last night - FallOut New Vegas runs really well, aside from some bluriness with the Pipboy it is running great at 5960x1080 with a FOV of 145

Dead Space - also a clear winner, runs great with no tweaks neccessary. Granted the game is less 'creepy' without the claustrophobic camera that runs by default, but I prefer it this way, you can see what's coming at ya now!
