So I'm new to using multiple monitors, and I was wondering how you choose what fov to use. Is it different for every game, or is there a good generic value I can use? Thanks |

For many games, you're stuck with the FOV they give you. If i can chose one, i usually start with an FOV i prefer on single widescreen, which gives a slight fisheye effect, then use that as a basis for multi-monitor FOV. Some games suffer broken game mechanics from adjusting FOV, or even multi-mon in the first place. Some games also won;t draw textures past a certain FOV. For singel screen, I usually prefer 80-90 degrees. Really, it's personal preference. Look to the left border, and you'll see a link to the FOV Calculator. |
