| Post subject: | Thin bezel monitors |
Hello, With all the changes in LDC monitors these days, I am yet to find a later model LCD monitor that has nice thin bezel edges. I have done a lot of searching but just can't seem to get any joy. Does anyone have any suggestions from the latest list of LCD monitors on the market at the moment? I am more of a Samsung fan but I will settle for anything that has nice thin bezel. Leethyl |

If I had the money, I would get the Samsung MD230... http://www.frys.com/product/6287500 Or if you are brave, you can try some bezel modding (remove the plastic) http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18654 |

Do what I did and buy LED monitors. They are thin enough to overlap the bezels. |

(2 months ago) My Hubby wanted to try Eyefinity his Gaming PC has 2x5870 CrossFire ATI's which he reads is the best Eyefinity setup. I have 5970 ATI and wasn't sure I wanted to go Eyefintiy just yet till I saw it for myself. We talked it over and he took my Samsung 2493HM 1920x1200 to pair with His own 2493HM and bought a Samsung 2443BWT-1 for his center monitor. (2493HM have 1/2" Bezel Flat Black Frames no longer being sold any place) I was WOW'd with how it looked and played. So I began to searched alot of brands looking for thin bezels I tend to buy LG's and Samsungs. My 2nd PC next to me has a more current 24" 1920x1080 LG bezel is more than 1/2" way Fat and Glossy Frame. I wanted to stay with 1920x1200 just looks more correct to me. I considered the ASUS VW266H 25.5 1920x1200 (Glossy Black Frame) which I've seen in alot of YouTube videos feature Eyefinity with these monitors. However I saw them at a local FRY's Electronics store and the bezels were to Fat looking to me! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236047 So I went for 3xSamsung 2443BWT-1 (Flat Black frame which I prefer!) (the center monitor my hubby got) I'm very glad I did :) my 5970 ATI Eyefinity is wonderful. I would recommend this monitor for thinnest bezel in 1920x1200 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001371&cm_re=samsung_2443bwt-_-24-001-371-_-Product |

Modded the bezels between screens (1 on right and left, and 2 on middle), made it thin and nice, only the aluminium band that holds monitor layers together between =) |

I rock the Chimei 24EH's - 23.6" TN 1920x1080 Panel, not a bad monitor other than the fact that the input's are HDMI only, just using DVI to HDMI adapters.

I've bought 3 of those Benq G2420HDBL, true 24", VGA and DVI inputs (no HDMI), 1920x1080, LED (24w max power consumption!!!) and a thin bezel. Price is around €189 each, it's a great deal.

if you remove the plastic monitor housing, you will have extremely tiny bezels. just be careful when you are taking them apart. |

My old monitor had 13 mm bezels but when I went Eyefinity, I prioritized the ability of rotation and also affordability. I ended up with 25 mm bezels on my three new LGs. I'm kinda bummed out by this, but it's still awesome. |
