| Post subject: | Question before buying TH2G |
Until now i have been using SoftTH to play games on 3 screens, i love it but the amount of games that are playable with it is rather limited. So here is my problem. I have 3 * 24" each at 1920 * 1200. Although i don't mind playing games at 1680 * 1050 per screen or lower, using Windows at that resolution for me is just not acceptable specially since i use my setup for work and im quite used to the space i have for my tools. So im wondering what can i do to have it both ways, using TH2Go to play games at its supported resolutions and using my video cards to display at 1920 * 1200 per screen when i work. The only solution i can think of is using DVI Switches that allow me to pass video to TH2Go or directly to the monitors, i would need 4 Switches and it would be messy and cumbersome, something i would like to avoid. So just hoping to get more ideas, here is a little diagram of what i was thinking of doing.

Wow, that way you've laid that out is very messy and cumbersome. It's not that complicated. First, the TripleHead2Go can display single-screen resolutions. So, you can have it display 1920x1200 on the center screen when you're on the Windows desktop. So, there's one switch down. You also don't need a switch between DVI 1 and the T2Go. Here's what you need:
If you have dual-input monitors, you don't need switches; the switch is effectively in the monitor. |

Well, thats better HAHAHA, THANKS Now let me see if i get your diagram. When not using TH2Go... DVI 2 goes to monitor 1 DVI 1 goes trough TH2Go to display Monitor 2 @ 1920 * 1200 DVI 3 goes to Monitor 3 Getting excited now, was giving up on the whole thing, might just order TH2Go soon :D With this set up like that i can even use CrossFireX when playing with TH2Go. My Monitors do have multiple inputs but only DVI and VGA and i'd rather use DVI, i was thinking of getting some HDMI switches and just getting adapters, should be cheaper Thanks mate |
