I have recently received the TripleHead2Go for reviewing and have a question about it, during use it says a screen resolution is not supported by my hardware, which hardware do they mean by this. I have three monitors all various types and two sizes and a HD 3870X2 graphics card. Are they talking the graphics card or the monitors can't go above the number they mean. I kind of figured out that the setup I have, ATI HD3870X2 graphics card and IZ3D 22", Acer 22" and Samsung 19" widescreen monitors cannot go above 600 in height but what is stopping this from going up there. I would like to get a little more height as it is not that great being stuck below 600. Thanks for any help on this. Jeff |

That is quite an awkward set of hardware you're using for a review? Will the IZ3D display even run with only 1 of the 2 LCDs plugged in? IZ3D = 1680x1050 Acer = 1680x1050 Samsung = 1440x900 Not sure just what triple head resolution you'd shoot for. It needs to be a common resolution all 3 of those displays can lock to. Triplehead with 16:9, 15:9 and 16:10 resolutions http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12178 |

I was using the wrong cable on the box and got the resolution to go up to 3x1024x768 for Flight SIm X with the Dual Link cable it came with. I tried using cables I had and figured out that the cable that comes with it is the dual link and the ones I have are all the single link type. Oops. This setup is just fine and I wanted to see what I could do with what I had before I got into using all the same resolution monitors. Some people who are going to be looking at my review may not want to go out and purchase three monitors until they know they are going to be purchasing the thing and it will work well enough for them. You can always buy the TripleHead2Go and return it if you don't like it but I could really not see buying a couple more monitors and returning all three, Readers are going to want to know what they can do with it with what they have as well as me wanting to know more about the device and how it works. I have figured out a lot more about it and using an HDTV the same size as the IZ3D and the Acer I have some pretty good gaming but as you suggested you should have three monitors that give the same screen resolution. The IZ3D is a regualr monitor out of the single connection, using the second one starts up the front layer and when its not active the screen is clear. So with the one connection on the IZ3D you have a regualr monitor with a clear screen in fornt of it, kind of an expensive screen protector. Thanks for the help. Jeff |

4080x768 @ 60 Hz (triple 1360x768) Sorry, just having a look at this thread and this caught my eye, even though it's out of a different thread... A colleague just bought one of the 'not quite HD' HDTVs that is 1366x768... it's something like 46"... just had the thought of three of them in TripleHead. 8) |
