I have the TH2G Digital and when booting up I have to unplug the unit from the USB before booting. All of the USB ports are powered and I have plugged the unit into a powered USB hub. If I leave it plugged in and boot up I get the black screens. Matrox says it is my problem and that I should boost the power on the USB ports. I have no way of doing that. The USB ports do not shut down power when the computer is off. I have read that others have had this problem and that unplugging and re-plugging the unit back in is the only current solution. I have asked Matrox for help but they said that they do not recognize it as a problem. If I had a computer that shut off the USB port on shut down then no problem. If someone from Matrox reads this can you help find a solution to the problem. One unhappy customer CactusChuck |

See if you have a BIOS option to disable USB Standby power. Failing that, you could consider cutting the 5VSB cable from your PSU; it should be purple or magenta. That's a pretty drastic step, though - you void your PSU warranty, for example. |

On my motherboard the usb standby power part needs jumpers on the board swaped, dunno if all boards are like that. |
