Light glares in Prey seem to stretch horizontally in TH2G resolutions.

I didn't notice this glitch in other games so far. I guess all Doom3 engine-based games will demonstrate the same behaviour, maybe it's sth specific to OpenGL ? I wonder how many others games are affected - and what's the cause...

Hmmmm ...
I don't have any Doom3 engine-based games installed but ... it doesn't appear to have happened in my original shots of Doom 3 in TH ...

Well, I don't know. It's something you really notice when comparing to a "normal" res, or in motion. In Prey there's some intense light sources, and the design of the "wallwalks" (high contrast + perspective) somewhat stresses the effect out. Will reinstall D3 to investigate further.

Been playing some Doom3 but I didn't find anything alike as of yet. There's so few light sources...
However I can see the same kind of effect in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Look around the top of the pole and trees, there's some horizontal dark "ghost" that's only present at 3840x1024 - be assured I took the screenshots because I saw it ingame, it's not an artefact caused by jpeg compression or sth.

Again, this is mostly noticeable in motion, the sky feels slightly vibrating around objects at 3840x1024. I really don't understand what influence the aspect ratio can have on lightmaps or whatever is at play here. Pretty strange though, isn't it ?
