Thanks again Paddy, I finished the game in regular 16:10 mode after playing it obsessively every night until done, great game imho.

Will have to now play it over again in triplewide, and the nice thing is that I played as 2 or 3 characters most of the time (love the dragon power, reminds me of a Japanese anime "Flame of Recca") so the next time thru I will force myself to use different characters.

Err...well...that is one ugly screenshot comparison Paddy. I mean. damn...the game has some awesome graphics...but...err...anyway muchas gracias!

Tested and working:

Hey Paddy, any chance that you remember how you achieved this ? "Slightly stretched TH" is wayyy better than "stretched 16:9" but still, it doesn't feel that great in 48:10.
I tried hex editing the file to adapt the fix to WTH, to no avail. I don't have a clue what your changes mean, or why they even register. :oops:

Man, I wish I hadn't postponed playing this one for so long !

I can't remember what I did ... I think I hex edited a 9 to a 4 to get 16:4 ... 4:1.

However ... you got me wanting to play it again !
So ... I took a look at it again and I couldn't work it out ... :(
But ... I too would like to re-play it un-stretched ... even if it is only slightly stretched and even if I have played it several times before.
Now ... you know how necessity is the mother of invention ... :P
Well ... I found a much better way to do it ... :mrgreen:

(This is in Win 7 ... dunno the locations for XP)
Delete or rename the ... Profile.CBJericho ... file found here ... C:UsersUSERNAMEDocumentsCodemastersClive Barker's Jericho
Now go here ... C:UsersUSERNAMEAppDataRoamingCodemastersClive Barker's Jericho ... and open the ... game.cfg ... with notepad.
Change the line ...
PhysicalAspectRatio = 1.333333 ### Physical aspect ratio ... in this case it is set for 4:3

to anything you like ... such as ...

PhysicalAspectRatio = 4.0 ### Physical aspect ratio ... for 3 x 4:3
PhysicalAspectRatio = 4.8 ### Physical aspect ratio ... for 3 x 16:10
PhysicalAspectRatio = 5.333333 ### Physical aspect ratio ... for 3 x 16:9

etc.

When you run the game again it will remake the ... Profile.CBJericho ... file with your chosen aspect ratio.
In game you can change any of the advanced options without the aspect ratio getting reset ... BUT ... if you change the aspect ratio in the game you will loose the custom one you set and have to do the fix again.

enjoy !
BTW ... this game is ACE !

Let me know if this works for you and I'll update the first post ... 8)

So who ya gonna call ?...

Heehee, I'm so glad I asked - it works like a charm :onethumb
In XP this elusive little file hides in C:Documents and SettingsApplication DataCodemastersClive Barker's Jericho
Way to beat your own solution !

5040x1050, PhysicalAspectRatio = 4.8

Expect to hear from me the next time I reinstall Doom3 :mrgreen:

Weird, I tried looking for the "...AppDataRoamingCodemastersClive Barker's Jericho" and couldn't find it. I can only find the Profile. CBJERICHO File. Running 64bit Win7 with retail boxed version....specifically, the UK version.

I have the Steam version ...
May be the config is stored in the default ...

C:UsersDefaultAppDataRoamingCodemastersClive Barker's Jericho

Have you tried searching the whole system for the ... game.cfg ?

Tried that, keyed 'Codemasters' and found the file I'd tinkered with....to no avail. Bah, I'm kinda giving up on this....maybe I'll install GoW and give it a spin in EyeFinity. Any trick or tweak that I should be aware of?

Dunno what else to suggest on Jericho ...
It's a shame you can't find the file as I think it is a great game ... better than GoW ... :P

On GoW ... look here
The FOV 130 mentioned there is for 3x16:10 ... you would want a FOV about 140 for 3x16:9
There are a few issues but it is playable.
Please post any questions about GoW in that thread ... 8)

EDIT :
Just a thought re Jericho ......
If you let me know what aspect ratio you are looking for I will upload a ... Profile.CBJericho ... file with the correct aspect ratio for you to try ... 8)
