Well after a few years of going multimon off and on playing half life 2 in surround at 1920*640 at 10 FPS I am finally getting a TH2G Digital edition (the analogue was 15-20$ cheaper but not in stock so I choose digital). I currently have three CRT monitors capable of 1280*1024 resolution (one of them capable of 1600*1200 so it will kinda suck not using that to its full capability but oh well. I will be happy.

The Digital Edition only has DVI outputs, so unless your CRTs have DVI inputs (not many do), you will need some odd DVI-to-VGA converter cables. The Analogue Edition is realy what you want for use with CRTs...

From the FAQ:

Does TripleHead2Go Digital Edition support analog monitors?
Yes. TripleHead2Go Digital Edition has three DVI-I outputs, each of which can support either a DVI digital or an analog monitor. To connect analog monitors, you need to purchase 3x DVI-to-VGA adapters.

Well I was dumb enough to misread the spesfications, well I have one DVI to VGA adapter so I just need two more, I am sure I can find them at a place nearby for not too much.

If the TH2Gd outputs dvi-i, that is, analog + digital, what happens if you use one of them cables that takes one dvi-i output and puts it on 2 monitors, 1 dvi-d and one svga? 6 monitors from 1 th2g?

Found http://www.pccables.com/cables/01780.htm with a quick google search, not the one I had seen last time though but same result.

The last time I read that depending on the vid. card it may or may not allow both to be used at once, so I don't know how the th2g would react.

by the way for any canadians thinking of buying a th2gd, ncix has it with a 30$ rebate at the moment.

Yay I revieved it today (Had to go pick it up as the delivery guy doesn't know how to knock. I used the occassion as an excuse to clean my room and move my pc into my room, (had to send in a network cable (thats a story for another time)). Once I plugged everything and turned it on the bios was on the left most screen, windows booted and I get 2/3 of the left and right screen filled, this was fixed by setting the resolution properly in windows. Then I launched trackmania nations and it worked, will try HL2 next.

[Edit]
Well HL2 wont run over 3072*768, I guess thats what I get for having a 6600 GFX card.

Yeah, I suppose you could get 6 monitors plugged into one TripleHead2Go, but each pair of screens would display identical images. No point in that as far as I can tell.
