Hi

I'm interesting on buying 2 monitors more (20.1") for my PC. My question is anybody as try to conect 3 monitors on a SLI configuration and playing games well. I've seen matrox TH2G on pc and is a quiet good solution but it's no support resolution more than 1280*1024, but the interesting thing of it it's the software provided with the diferent profile for each game.

Can i connect 3 monitores and play well Flight simulator 9/X in widescreen mode, it is necesary some kind of special software to configure the ratio of the monitors?

Thanks!!

You can't have more than one monitor active on an SLI setup. If you want to use more than one, you have to disable SLI. So if you want three monitors in an SLI setup, TH2Go seems to be the only option.

Hello ... and welcome to the forum ... 8)

I have moved this to the "Surround" section of the forum ... much more appropriate for your topic ...
You will find lots of info here in this section if you take a look.

If I understand things correctly ... you can run MS Flight Simulator 9/X in a window and so you can have up to four screens in SLi without the TH2G.

I don't think there are any cards even 2x8800GTS's that would cope with a resolution much higher than 3840x1024 even if they could do it.
Many new games struggle at 3840x1024 with everything tuner up high with 2 8800's.
It is something for the future .... may be ... but as games get more demanding the cards too will have to get soooo much better and then better still if you want to run games at even higher resolutions as well.

As said, SLI only outputs to one port - would be pointless to do otherwise since it would defeat the object of SLI in the first place.

What you do with that one output though is up to you if you use a TH2Go or not. Without it you've got a single display of the highest resolution your monitor supports. With it then you can output that display over up to 3 monitors at the resolutions the TH2Go supports.

FSX and FS9 support windowed modes so you can place individual windows onto each of those three screen if you want although I don't think the graphics card(s) work at full unless you run the game full screen.

If you turn SLI off then you could connect 3 monitors via a TH2Go and an additional 3 monitors to the other outputs over the two cards.

I'm currently awaiting my TH2Go and 3 HP 1965 monitors and intend to run them for FSX/FS9 together with my Dell 2407 for panels/guages.

Is not pointless since you could have 2x(1280x1024x3) with 2xth2go if both outputs could be used in sli. Actually is feasible (with more graphic power required) with only one card, using each output with a th2go.

Not very viable for very demanding games, but could be useful with older games.
