Hi there I have just upgraded my TH2Go monitor set up (althought the unit itself is in China being fixed!). My set up problem was that I have 2 different types of monitors (2xAOC197V and 1, central, Samsung 930BF) and the AOCs don't have any adjustment on the stock stand. So I originally used wooden blocks and loads of DuctTape to get them to sit correctly. I have replaced the stock monitor stands with the Laser AO-ARM. Laser are an Ozzie company AFAIK. I have yet to find anything near as cheap as these new arms and they can be bolted/screwed to the desk or wall mounted. They adjust in all sorts of directions and DO take 19" monitors, as long as they don't weigh more than 8kg. Compared to the 600 bucks you would have to pay here in NZ for an Ergotron triple stand they are a bargain and a little adjustment to them makes a perfect set up. I lifted them a bit with a couple of wooden blocks ( I like to sit high) and, presto, Surround Gaming awesomeness ;) My new set up... 8) note the tape to cover up the silvery bezel bits on the Samsung- classy I know Sorry about leaving a document in the pics d'oh
A close up of the arm
Where I got them for NZ$52.90- Elive Also available all over NZ/Oz websites I reccommend them for a pro looking set up with a smaller budget, especially good for replacing varying monitor stands. Cheers M1.9P oh Mods, if this is 'not the done thing' I will delete it |

Nice man nice. However, would they still work on a straight edged desk? Would the arms be able to create the "wrap around" effect? |

Yeah cheers Johnny. I am gagging for the unit to return, damn firmware flash :x . Yes they are adjustable enough to work on the back of a straight edged desk, my centre and right monitor are on the straight edge. So looking now at the thing it would definitely work :D |

Awsome. Mach1@9pints, does the unit's arm extend upward/outward? So if I had one, and I wanted to move it higher, or closer at the same height, could I extend the arm? Could you take a few pics of its extension? If they do extend, how far can it extend, so how high can they go? This is getting good. **Just a note with that signature, one of the admins will ask you to adjust your signature to forum specs. |

Ha, changed my sig. I was just trying to extend my e-peen  OK so a description of the arm. The arm rotates in the following places:
A: The base rotates 360 degrees here. Has got another base which can be screwed to the desk/wall/ceiling (for the kinky) B: The main arm rotates hereforwards and backwards 90 degrees C: The whole top bit that looks like a hex nut rotates here 360 degrees D: This nut lets the forward facing arm go up and down a fair bit, depending on the monitor 90 degrees E: The VESA mount rotates the full 360 (75mm and 100mm mounting holes) What it does not do is extend up and down, lots of rotation but no extension! However my right monitor (which is on the straight part of the table) is set up with the arm leaning backwards at point B. Making the arm lean forward or backward will change the height. So not like a full up 'all singing, all extending' arm but good enough for me M1.9P by the way I would almost be horizontal at 9 pints not supersonic  Unlike my 'grundies'................... |

I honestly think were getting to the point where ceiling mounted multi-monitor/ultra-hd setups will become the norm. |

I've just ordered 4 of these... http://www.vivomounts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=LCDT1 for my 3 HP1965's and 1 2407 setup. They are a good price for mounts in this country and also will hopefully allow me to alternate between the big screen up top or down below. |

I've just ordered 4 of these... Mate, I must warn you! Those a really crappy stands you choose you can trust me! When I was in search of similar supports, for my three NEC 1970NX the seller has dissuaded me from purchase of specifically this model. And even has shown me one broken and that place where they break, not maintaining weight of the 19†|

Can't find any reports of issues with them and they are also sold all over Amazon - this is what this company does and also backs their products with a lifetime warranty so can't really see there being problems with them. Perhaps you were shown a copy of the design by another manufacturer...? |
