I didn't see a sticky for it and so I'm thinking the answer leans towards the negative but... I was wondering, is there a general solution or set of solutions, that I can use or toy with, to get the appropriate viewing dimensions in a game. I have a 2560x1024 Display resolution and a host of games that I would like to try spanning across that to create more viewing area. Some games I have discovered (StarCraft) are locked in one set resolution. Are most a matter of toying with settings in the main *.cfg of each program? Or is it much more complicated than that? I apologize if this question is redundant of others, I neglected the search. |

Hello ... No there isn't a general solution for Surround Gaming as each game is different. Most people use the Surround Gaming Utility (SGU) to set there games up for them ... but this doesn't setup dual screens of course. For the most part I setup my TripleHead games using the solutions for single screen gaming and just modify the cfg/ini/etc. for surround. My guess is that is what you will have to do but for dual screens. Most solutions that are posted for Widescreen or TripleHead include instructions to set the game up ... There is also the Master Games List at the top of the page under the ad banners ... http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php?title=Master_Games_List_-_A You will just have to modify the settings for dual screens. There is a FOV Calculator at the top of the forum under the ad banners but it doesn't do dual screen resolutions. I would imagine that after a while you will get a feel for the best FOV for dual screens ... it should be about the same for most games. I hope this helps ... :D |

Sorry it took me so long to get back, been busy and all...I see, thatnks for the help I appreciate it. I'll look for the FOV calculator since that's (I think) the hardest part to correct. Even when I got things running dual screen they'd be stretched wierdly. Sounds good though. Thanks for the help I appreciate it. |
