on the matrox site it says that max supported size is 3 19" monitors, but I see alot of you have bigger. What is the deal? Can I use 19" widescreen monitors, or do they have to be 4:3?

Generally, 19" is the max size for the native 4:3 res supported by the TH2Go - 1280x1024. You can use smaller panels with the same res, or you can use 20" panels that have 1600x1200 (Paddy does this), and scale the image.

Well, I don't mind doing a little tweaking, but I don't want to have to become a computer engineering expert to be able to play a game in triplehead mode. So, in your opinions, what is the biggest ideal monitors - widescreen or normal that would be best for triplehead gaming?

I would probably say 20s, either in 4:3 or widescreen. The 20" 4:3 are an easy setup and a no brainer. The 20" WS is going to stretch the image a bit more, so you'll want to be able to turn up the AA. But, if the game doesn't support TH2Go, you'd still have a 20" widescreen to play on.

My only concern would be getting the 16:9 ratio supported by the TH2Go to properly stretch on the 16:10 panel. Not sure how that would work. The best of all worlds would be to have as big a widescreen as you can handle/afford, and then 3x 19" or 20" for TH2Go. Overall, the price of that setup might compare favorably to a 3xWS setup. The real issue may be space.

If you want to minimize your tweaking, then go with a 3x5:4 or 3x4:3 setup. AFAIK very few games on the market offer preset 3x16:9 resolutions.
