About to enter the the brave new world of Vista 64...

i7 920
EVGA x58
6GB DDR3 1600MHz
Vista Ultimate x64

Should be interesting to see how much framerate impact it has...

Glad to hear this is not just me. I'm running 280GTX's in SLI @ 3840x1024, and since loading Lich King, my Shatt FPS has plummeted.

Only thing that has helped was draw distances.... but one would think that since I can run Fallout 3 with max graphics @ 3840x1024, a game with an ancient (albeit somewhat updated) engine would give me no problems.

BTW - Anyone else with SLI notice no difference running in or out of SLI?

This could be a big part of the problem... wonder what all it DOESN'T take advantage of, that our big fancy video cards can do...

Well.... I found that the Reduce Input Lag box was now checked in my interface options. Must have happened during WoTLK install.

Unchecking it made a BIG improvement (as mentioned above), and I now have my view distance slider maxed out and am staying above 30 FPS pretty much everywhere!

I wonder how many others are suffering this fate....

Yep, blues in the technical support forum have admitted that SLI is in no way, shape or form supported or optimized in their game; therefore making not a single smidge gain in FPS a possibility when using SLI.

Quite a shame really, I step up'd my only 9800 gtx's to 280's so I could get some more juice for 3 screens; however WoW only saw maybe a 10 FPS gain with the Wrath graphics upgrade (probably due to the increased video RAM size).

At least the new MMORPG Aion: Tower of Eternity supports nVidia SLI but not ATI Crossfire
