Hi, I was thinking about going with a TH2Go Setup using 3 Projectors.. Now I want to say I use a older system here are the Specs:

1. PIV 570J 3,8GHZ CPU
2. 2 GB OCZ Memory
3. Audigy 2 ZS
4. Asus Stiker II Formula Mobo
5. 2 BFG 7950 GT OC..
6. Win XP Pro SP3..

Now I use this older stuff because I use the EDimensional 3D Glasses and this is the best I can use with these glasses..

Now My question is I play some newer games and get decent FPS in most games. Now I was thinking since I will be running in a higher Rez how will it effect my FPS in games like ..

1. Flaming Cliffs 2... get between 20-40FPS
2. ArmA 2 ... Get about 20-30FPS
3. Operation Flash point Dragon Rising.. Get about 15-30FPS
4. rFactor with many mods.. runs about 35FPS

I will be running at 3072x768 for my Rez in game with the TH2Go setup?? so will it effect my FPS drastically??

Generally speaking, yes - going triplehead WILL affect your framerates. But it's hard to say by how much, esp. since you didn't disclose your current res ;)

Well, three times more pixels + more objects in your field of view might really hurt performance I'm afraid... Imagine playing at 1920x1200 (slightly less pixels than 3072x768), the poor 7950s will probably not look their best. :?

Sorry, I probably used the wrong english expression  I meant the performance hit will most likely be quite noticeable.

Compare performance of the 7950GT SLI at 1024x768 and 1920x1200 to get an idea.

Well I may be able to do an Upgrade on the CPU to a E8400 and the Vid cards to 2 8800GTX's. Hopefully that will still work in S3D and I should be able to do some TH2G Gaming..

Well I upgraded to two 7950GT KO slightly faster then the older 7950's I had and the performance hit was NOT as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Good for you! A couple benchmark results would be interesting, though. ;)

GF8s sent them to oblivion, but 7950s were darn fine cards... I once had fanless 7950GTs. Only fanless SLI I ever had. And it rocked!
