I'm running a triplehead2go on a system with vista 64 and three acer x193w+bd lcd's. I would like to use 1280x800 for these monitors since they are 16:10 aspect ratio, but for some reason there is a problem with that particular output profile. Specifically, the th2g seems to mix the signals for monitors 2 and 3. So the output on monitor 2 is half monitor 2 and half monitor 3, and it's split by horizontal line of pixels I think. (So if my monitor 2 was supposed to show a screen of blue and monitor 3 was supposed to show a screen of red, then I would see a striped pattern of blue and red on each monitor.) These problems do not occur if I use any other resolution. Does anyone have experience with this issue or have a recommendation for what I might do for a fix? Also--I would be happy running 1440x900, but I have a different issue there...for some reason, on that setting the display extends beyond the width of the monitor, as if I selected a setting that was wider than the monitor. This only happens with the width, not with the height. But 1440x900 is 16:10, which is the width of the monitor...so it should match. It's almost as if the output profiles got screwed up and permuted, and what the th2g claims is 16:10 is actually 16:9. |

Yeah, I'm having all kinds of such issues on my own TripleHead / wide 19" setup as well. It definitely has sth to do with the OS : in XP my monitors work fine in lower 16:10 and 3x 16:10 res's, while everything's messed up in 7 (and was in Vista) on another disk of the very same computer. How this could be fixed, I don't know yet. |
