Hi all I want to run my centre output to an HDMI switch (3 in to 1 out) so I can easily switch between my PC, XBox and PS3. According to the Matrox Connectivity Guide I should be able to use standard DVI to HDMI adaptors at either end... 1 on the box and then (via switch) 1 on the monitor DVI in. However it doesn't work, I have tried 2 cables and the adaptors work fine for the XBox and PS3. I have to manually pull the TH2Go DVI cable out of the back of my centre screen and replace it with the HDMI>DVI adaptor attached to XBox/PS3 at the moment and it sucks! So any ideas what to do? Are all HDMI>DVI adaptors created equal? My actual adaptors have the six central DVI pins missing, I can get cheap adaptors which have all the pins, sould that make a difference? Or am I unable to use my old spare 3 port HDMI switcher to make my life that much easier.. cos this is never going to work? Cheers M1.9P |

The center pins missing in the adapter would indicate that it is a single-link adapter. However, as long as this adapter is located on the TripleHead2Go output (not the input), single-link should be fine, so I doubt that is the problem. |

Yay that works, dunno why the adaptors didn't! So I can now switch between my three machines without switching cables. I am now getting a headset which takes input from (and mike works with) PC, XBox and PS3.... I'll have to swap the optical cables on that but better than my current swapping headsets! |

Arrrrggghhh except I hadn't checked the XBox through the switcher (I did the PS3, that works fine) but the ferkin XBox only works by the HDMI cable and adaptor, won't work through the switch no matter what I do Back to square one and totally bleeped off! |
