Hi, I recently bought and installed my TripleHead2go digital which I use to run 3 LCD monitors at 1280*1024. Just want to check everything is working as it should. I have noticed that since installing the TH2G that my desktop and applications run slower than before (e.g it takes longer to load windows explorer and Excel/Word are slightly slower than before) - is this normal? I also wonder what people's experiences of FSX are. My framerates are lower (understandably so as more is being rendered) but it also takes long to change the settings which seems strange. For example in the welcome screen when I click on change plane there is a pause of around 10 seconds before the plane list comes up. Is that normal? Any advice much appreciated Jon |

Hi, I'll have answers for all of the above by the end of the weekend, should my shopping trip this weekend go to plan. |

I've never noticed any effect on the Windows desktop or for opening things like Word, but I do have laggy/buggy menus in FSX as well, and now you've got me wondering if there is some issue going on. I've never had FSX installed without triplehead in place, so I have no ability to make a comparison. |

Hi guys I think maybe something isn't exactly right there. I noticed no difference in FSX menus than I did on a single screen. My system has no changes, other than adding TH2Go. Starting FSX, I have the default flight at Friday Harbor. I click on Change aircraft, it takes 2-3sec to load the planes page. I click on the Baron 58 and maybe 1-2 seconds to switch the planes for the Ultralight to the Baron. I don't have a lot of add on planes though. I would guess maybe the more you have the longer it will take to bring up the planes page (?). I believe all the add ons I have are 'true' fsx models. No payware. While in 3D and I hit Alt and select something, it comes up quickly even though the flight is still live (not paused). ATC is the same. I really see no difference than before I got TH. e8400 at 4.0GHz GTX 285 1GB at stock 8GB DDR2 at 890 and cas4 Single sata 640GB HDD 3 patitions, FSX is on partition D: 4320x900 Maybe back up your fsx config and delete the original. It will write a new one at the next launch. |

Hey Guys, First Off Butch_N did one of the best things you can do for FSX, and that is to have it loaded onto it's own drive or at least it's own partition. As FSX uses the HD alot, so it should also be defraged often. Having more add-ons will make it take longer for FSX to load, but only initially, after that it should be no different. I'm using Eyefinity, and some times the menus are fine and sometimes they are not, I believe this just to be a Video Driver issue. It only takes 2 seconds or less for a list of my planes (8 rows) to popup and I have 2 extra purchased planes. Sounds to me like you really just need to defrag your hard drive and maybe you want to add more ram to your system if you can. Also hopefully no one was messing around with your windows settings for ram usage to hard drive settings. Hope this helps! Deke |

Jon (BlinkNFG), Have you seen Problem With TripleHead2Go and FSX 2D View? A fix for that problem has been discovered and is listed in the thread. Your problem sounds different ... but it might be related. |

I've got my TH2G working and I have noticed no difference in FSX or the desktop whatsoever, when it comes to speeds / loading or opening things / menus. |
