hi i am using a dual core 42.ghz cpu.
4 gig memory
2 4870 in crossfire.
can any1 tell me what the max resolution on each screen i can go with in crossfire.
i have read somewhere thsat i cant do crossfire in 1440by900 x3.
is this right if so i might be better of buying 3 nec 19 inch 4.3 screens.

Ati cards can't go beyond 3x1440x900 using TripleHead2Go, supposedly because their DVI outputs can't go below 60 Hz (you need 57 Hz to achieve 3x1680x1050). Crossfire has nothing to do with it though...

does that meen if i get 3 19 inch widescreen monitors@ 1440by900 will my crossfire still work.
its just on matrox site it says @ that resolution crossfire dont work.

there if u look there is a 1 and 2 read what it tells u about crossfire.

just click ati digital tripple to go 4800 xp64.

You're right. Sounds odd to me. Well you'd probably go for 3x 5:4 screens then :?

you have been a bloody great help just needed to put my mind @ rest before i hit the buy button.
going to get 3x 19 inch nec 4.3 screens. @ least it should look right.
