Hi, I have been looking over a lot of these threads to see if my problem was addressed but it seems that nearly everyone can at least get their TH2GO to work on the desktop with 5040 x 1050; however I cannot. My max resolution under properties is 3840 x 1024 and also under the nVidia settings. I am using 3 * Samsung 2253BW monitors (nearly identical to the 2253LW's) and I can't seem to figure out how to increase my max resolution.

Everything is really stretched out and hurting my eyes because they should be running at 1680 x 1050 but they are each running at a max of 1280 x 1024. I updated my firmware and software and all I can see is really small resolutions under that as well. Before I updated I was able to see the 5040 x 1050 resolution but it said "NO" next to it for some reason, but it sounds like others are having that problem maybe as well. I tried setting a 5040 x 1050 custom resolution but all three screens went nearly all black (there was a visible 1 inch bar across the top of all three screens however).

When I try to use bezel management and line up the bars it shrinks my screen inwards and stuff gets lost behind the black bezel of my monitors.

*sigh* Any help is appreciated, I'm totally frustrated and confused, however I did send an email to Matrox hoping they can help me.

Thanks so much.

Hello ... welcome to the forum ... :D

Are you running Vista ? ... if so see this thread lots of people are having problems with 5040 and newer drivers ...
NVidia Vista drivers won't do 5040x1050 (177.92 to 180.42)

This thread is also worth a look at ...
Fix for inability to run in 5040x1050 - Official Thread

When I try to use bezel management and line up the bars it shrinks my screen inwards and stuff gets lost behind the black bezel of my monitors.
It's supposed to do that ... it hides pixels behind the bezel to give the illusion that the image goes behind them thus moving the image in from the sides.

Hi Paddy,

I'm using Vista 64 Bit and I noticed all those threads, so I'm not too worried about getting it to work in game yet. But I'd like to get the desktop situated at least, as it seems almost everyone can get it to work but me. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't select it on the nvidia page or on the desktop like everyone else can.

Still waiting on a Matrox email, perhaps they can help. But if you have any tips I'll be quite anxious to hear them :P

Edit: Also, is there a way to get it to run at 3840x1024 without using the whole screens? It's stretched soo much, it hurts to play; I would be fine with using like half of the side screens if I could see it normally, but I don't know if that's possible (until they get a fix for the 5040x1050 resolutions that is).

Thanks so much.

Sorry I can't help you fix the issue ... :(

I don't think there is away to get 3840x1024 the way you are asking but why not (for now) run at 4320x900 ... 3 x 1440x900.

Dead Space for example will not do 5040x1050 so I have been running it at 4320 ... it isn't so bad ... dunno what the desktop will be like though but at least it is 3 x 16:10.

I cannot get 5040 res with vista with any NVidia driver latter than 177.41, desktop or games. Until Matrox release a new GXM that is compatible with the latest drivers you are stuck with a lesser res or an older driver.

GOT IT WORKING! :P :P :P

It's so beautiful!!!

Edit: Updated drivers, rolled back to 75.19, unchecked the hidden box and it popped up under GXM. Finally!

L2Phantom: what did you exactly do? I'm having the same problem. Matrox sent me a new software yesterday but it only adds custom resolutions to the video properties in Vista (they are not selectable from gxm). When i choose 5040x1050 all 3 screens say out of range. I'm using 178.24 drivers.

Hey make sure you tell that your screens go out of range with that trial GXM, I got the same problem. Hopefully it is an easy fix but (according to one guy on the forum who tried it) it sets the monitors at 47Hz instead of 57! More of us telling them the same thing means they'll believe it is not our individual rig's problems.

Guys

Here's what I received from Matrox:

'It is most likely that the 57Hz refresh rate at the maximum resolution setting is not compatible with your monitors and they are having trouble syncing to the signal.
In this case you will have to use the 1440x900@60 resolution since we are limited by the hardware at 57Hz in the maximum resolution setting.'

My monitors are:
2xDell2007WFP revA04
1xViewsonic vx2025wm

I tested 57Hz on each monitor and it's fine. I'm getting nowhere with this now.

Any help much appreciated.
