I have my desktop set to 5040x1050. It's great. Some of my games run at this resolution too. They are also great.

However, my native resolution under 'Nvidia Control Panel' then 'Flat Panel Scaling' is 4080x768. This is the highest resolution I can add using the Powerdesk 'Edit Mode List' Certain games therefore only run at this resolution; such as Lord of the Rings online, Bioshock and several others

I have to assume that if I can get my native desktop resolution to 5040x1050, then these other games will automatically work at that res.

So the big questions are... Can I get this to happen, and if so, how do I do it?

Not necessarily. My native resolution is 3840 by 1024 (according to Flat Panel Scaling), but my Current Resolution is 5040x1050. All my games (well the ones that support it) run at 5040x1050.

I have no idea how to change the "Native resolution" in the Flat Panel Scaling and like CyberCrist mine says the native res is 3840x1024 ... all my games (and desktop) so far run at 5040x1050 .... including Bioshock.

Thanks for the replies chaps. Well I have no idea how to get bioshock and the others running at 5040x1050 then, the highest it'll go is 4080x768. Very strange.

Is a re-install worth it do you think? Or any other advice?

Was your desktop set to 3840x1024 before you did the firmware update ?
I just wonder if that is what sets your native ...

Hi Paddy,

Yeah it was set to 3840x1024 but the 4080x768 is the highest res I can set using the edit mode list. 5040x1050 is already selectable under the 'change' button settings as normal. I just wonder if it's only seeing the edit mode list in certain games. I'm going to try a reinstall of all the matrox drivers and see if it makes a difference.

It's narked me that your Bioshock works in that res and mine doesn't. Weird!
