HI guys
I am new to this forum and i have some troubles getting my games to run on two monitors.

This problem never existed in Windows XP
i just connect both of my 15 inch monitors, and then use the nvidia driver to change to horizontal span mode to have windows span across both monitors. After this, during the games, i always get a resolution choice equal to two of the monitors added together.

Now i have new computer with Windows Vista 64bit Home Premium, and the Horizontal span choice is no longer available and niether are the extra dual monitor resolution choices in the games. I cannot get windows into span mode.

Right now i am using UltraMon to get a secondary task bar on the extra screen on the left.

I recently got so many games, like GRID, Assassins Creed, Devil May Cry 4, Call of Duty 4, Overlord, Crysis, Battle Field 2142, Mass Effect, and many more

All i want to do is play these games on my 2 * Samsung 1680 * 1050 Resolution.

I read about the Dual Head 2 Go and the Triple Head 2 Go, but i really dun see the point in spending extra $200 or $300 for something that i could do with XP for free by software.

Please help me out guys
how do i get this to work?

My System Specs

2 * Samsung 216Bw 22inch monitors @ 1680 * 1050 Resolution
Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650
2 * Ati Radeon HD4870
ASUS Rampage Formula
Corsair Dominator 4GB PC8500 1066Mhz Memory
Enermax Galaxy 1000W Power Supply
Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit

You can't. Nvidia disabled it because "the architecture of the windows drivers won't support it." DH2G is the only way to do it now.

and, you probably don't want to game on two monitors. you really need three. with two, your character and/or reticle (main focal object/point) will be cut in half.

so Windows Vista disabled this function completely?

the only way is using hardware, such as TH2G, to do it now?

are there any alternative hardware solutions?

something cheaper
im on a tight budget having purhcased all of the computer parts and games

my budget is like $100

In theory you can play with dual instead of triple monitors.

With a game that supports multi-monitors you can keep the same view on center and have a side with just gauges and stuff, like flightsims.

On a game that doesn't you could use softth with a disabled left or tight to get center+1side view, probably useful in a nascar racing or something game where you turn all the time on the same side ;)

Oh and since the new big bang or whatever driver is supposed to hit soon, I'd wait a few days to see how it impacts multi-monitors and vista/expand options.
