Hello everyone,

I've been following the forums for a while ! I need help.

I'm using Eyefinity 5760x1080 on a 24-27-27 monitor setup + 42 inch TV above that:

BUT!
I've bought an full HD projector with 135 inch projecting screen and I want it all to work on this PC (it's good enough to take this and more imho)

So I still want to keep my 3x monitor Eyefinity + TV and now + Projector...

I have Radeon HD 7970 GHZ edition ... it has 2x DVI and 4x DP. I was using the 4 DP so far with 2 of the cables being active... needed one active when I went for third monitor and another active when I bought the TV (it wouldn't let me use the 4th monitor(tv) without the second active cable).

I have 2 free(unused) DVI ports, i have a DVI -> HDMI convertor in one of them and basically the catalyst doesn't let me use all 5 at once, just 4 (of either) so I'm using the projector + 3 monitors, the TV is dark :'(

What should I do? Should I buy another active cable? There are no MS hubs so far as i've heard...

Here's the pic from my webcam of the projector screen at 135" 16:9 format.

Thanks

Cheers

Raidou

You're missing the port in information for all of those. It's hard to suggest a solution when we don't know what port we're trying to plug into.

I'm going to have to guess on the port types here.

DVI port #1 -> DVI cable -> Display #1 DVI port
DVI port #2 -> DVI cable -> Display #2 DVI port
DP port #1 -> DP-DVI active adapter -> DVI cable -> Display #3 DVI port
DP port #2 -> DP-DVI active adapter -> DVI-HDMI cable -> HDTV HDMI port
DP port #3 -> DP-DVI active adapter -> DVI-HDMI cable -> projector HDMI port
DP port #4 -> not used yet

If you're not sure where to get the DVI-HDMI cables Monoprice is good:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/subde ... p_id=10231

I'm also assuming since you say the card has 2 DVI and 4 DP that you're either using the ASUS DCII or the ASUS Matrix card.

The DP active adapter should run around $20-30. There are a bunch of options for them at Newegg.

Group the Eyefinity 3x1 span then set the projector and the HDTV as extended.
