okay i gotta couple of random questions and this seems to be a fairly appropriate place for just that 1.) eyefinity 3x1+1 has issues staying put (everyone who has this setup has seen this im sure) what are good fixes for this when can we expect it to be fully realized? 2.) what are some aftermarket apps worth looking at ? i like afterburner and display fusion both i would recommend 3.)I have a neat setup perhaps a bit too powerful for my needs see i have a diamond6970 and a xfx 6850 and ever since i put in the 6850 i get some little artifacts (not crazy alot but more than with a little nvidia 520) and screen tearing on the middle screen (which only used to happen on the left minidp dvi-adapter screen and was slightly lessened by the recent update any suggestions? im sure the drivers are correct for the 63970 im not sure if i need a second set for the6850 or what any suggestions? |

1. I did run a 3+1 setup on my HD7970 CF setup a while ago. Was a pain in the as to set eyefinity and deacivate/activate the 4th display to get it running. But after that its just a Hotkey to get it running again! Sadly i don't have miniDP-DVI adapter anymore so i'm running 3L setup alone atm. 2. Uh.... ähhh.... i just use MSI Afterburner and the sidebar gadget for it. Got ResizeIT addon for Firefox(which moves Firefox) and except firefox i can just drag Windows Explorer from one screen to another when i need it ^^ doesn't happen often! 3. For running Eyefinity you NEED to plug all 3 Monitors to the same Monitor!(Not sure but i think it's possible to run the 4th Screen from a different GPU) If you don't want to run Eyefinity, just normal extended Desktop then you can use 6970+6850 in any configuration you like. So again, you run 4 Monitors ? and have 2 GPU's ? 6970 +6850 correct ? Which monitor did you connect how to which GPU ? |

yeah 4 monitors in an eyefinity +1 arranged as so [ ] [ ][ ][ ] but it always borks after games or restarts to be like this [ ] [ ][ ][ ] with the top screen on the far right at this time im just resigned to leaving the =1 monitor on the left side but for ease of use cmon and yeah my 3 bottoms in the 6970 and the solo in the 6850 always running eyefinity |

if you set your [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] Setup, and then create a Preset, if you have problems and set preset, does that also work for position or not ? |

nope not really it depends on what game or app you are running but when it exits from fullscreen on the 3x1 part it will often "bork"and do some thing random seeming but usually it throws the "top" monitor to the left side and makes the wallpaper stretch to all four almost like a 4x1 view but the its not its just kinda looks that way at first taskbar stays put but if you had a fullscreen app running or icons on the desktop often times these are way screwy like for instance running xbmc on the +1 while playing skyrim works like a dream (we can thank hayden/halifax for that at least in part) but if i try to play gta4 or blackops after the game exits my xbmc is nowhere (but in the taskbar and only to be shut off and restarted) and all of my icons Which were nice and neat are strewn in an almost random pattern so long stry short im living with [ ][ ][ ][ ] but i really want ...[ ] [ ][ ][ ] |
