Post subject:  Multiple Eyefinity issues

I recently purchased a 7970 and additional monitors to run an Eyefinity setup, and i have been having a few big problems.

First occurs during BF3 while playing online.. every time i die my screens go blank for 4-5 seconds, some for longer than others. And they display the input types at the top corners as if the were reset. I haven't been able to find anyone else having this issue, and it difficult to describe how frustrating this is.

The other problem i am having is the screen tearing issue. I don't understand how a high end card can have an issue like this. Is there any possible way to not get the lines across my screens?

Any help/input would be much appreciated.

Post subject:  1st issue: I commonly see

1st issue: I commonly see this when you have a certain dynamic contrast setting. To get those super high DCR's they turn off the screen when it hits a certain blackness level over the screen. Try messing with special OSD settings that deal with contrast.

2nd Issue: This could be hardware related. A lot of times the timing for DVI is 59.999 Hz or something similar, whereas DP is 60 Hz. So the video card (generally) picks the monitor in the middle for the vertical refresh rate.

If you're connected to DVI DVI DP, put the DVI in the middle. If DP DP DVI, put the DP in the middle. This will rid tearing on 2 out of the 3 monitors. To really get rid of tearing, use a card with 3 DP / miniDP and use those connections. If you have DVI monitors, use all active adapters, if not, just use all straight up dp connections.

Post subject:  Ok thanks. Now i only have

Ok thanks. Now i only have one monitor tearing, and my screens aren't cutting out anymore. My monitors don't have DP so I'm using all DVI via adapters (DVI, HDMI to DVI, Active DP to DVI). Since my current card is still within the 30 day return period, I may look into exchanging for the MSI card and just use active adapters like you said.
