Post subject:  Bezel Compensation Not Working

Hi Everyone,

Two questions:

1) I'm running 3x1 Eyefinity on a 6870 using 11.11a drivers. All monitors are the same, 1680x1050 Hanns-G 21". Whenever I click on the Adjust Bezel Compensation option, my screen blacks out then pops back into the Desktop. I don't see the triangle adjustments or anything on the videos. Just blacks then goes back, and just messes with the alignment of my center monitor. Any ideas?

2) When playing videos fullscreen on the center monitor, some of the video bleeds onto the side monitors but barely. Is there any way to lock video on the center screen when playing videos fullscreen?

Thanks so much.

Post subject:  I have never heard this issue

UPDATE: I've looked around but I can't find anyone with the same problems. My best guess is to use drivercleaner and reïnstall the CCC (try a newer version then). My second guess is that CCC recognizes one of your screens non-identical from the others. This problems occurs when you have one or two screens connected via VGA (analog signal) and the other via DVI/HDMI/Displayport (digital signals). When there are not three identical screens, CCC 11.11a won't execute bezel compensation.

I have never heard this issue before, let me google and i'll get back to you. The only way I can explain issue 2 is that hydragrid (if you use it) has been set up wrong. If you don't use it, your bezel compensation has screwed up badly.

^ Yes

As for teh video thing, i play videos with MPC and use the numpad arrows at shrink the video to fit my centre display. THough ocne you ah ve bezel comp. enabled, that bit that juts into the sides will be "behind" your bezels. THough your image will still appear cropped.

Hi Moose,

Thanks for the feedback. I've actually gone through multiple drivers already, all using Driver Sweeper prior to installation. 11.11, 11.11a, 11.12, 12.1, 12.2 Preview, and even the beta drivers from Benchmark 3D but to no avail. My connection is via 3 HDMI cables, 1x DVI to HDMI, 1x HDMI direct, and 1x Display Port. I'm starting to think that it might be my monitors that's the culprit?

How can I ensure that my system detects my monitors as identitical? They all are though, Hanns-G HG216D.

You DID use driversweeper or a manual cleanup after uninstallign previous Catalyst drivers, right? A simple Add/Remvoe uninstall alwyas leaves a surprising amount of files behind..

Hmm, that's weird. In your CCC you can check whether or not your displays are recognized correct. But your setup should work fine. I'll do some research on those monitors now.

Not sure if it helps, but I ran moninfo and this is what I got (attached).

Entries 4-6 are tagged as Generic PnP monitor - and that's what shows up in Device Manager too, not "Hannstar" or whatever the first three entries are labeled as. Could it be some strange monitor driver issue? I tried trying to delete the monitor drivers but they don't show up in Driver Sweeper.

I've got someone with a problem here as well. One of his Hanns-G HG216D is showing up as non-pnp monitor in Eyefinity. Sadly, this poos chap hasn't recieved any help so far. I can't seem to find any other problems anyone has ever encountered using that specific type of monitor.
So it is either the fact that one of your monitors isn't recognized correctly and therefore CCC will not execute bezel compensation or the problem lies somewhere else. I'm away for tonight now, but I'll try and find some stuff. Don't give up hope :)

you make no mention of what displayport adapter you are using is it active ?
have you got the monitor drivers installed ?

Post subject:  Active adapters are highly

Active adapters are highly recommended, you should always get them. And monitor drivers, really? Who uses those things anyway, apart from 2000+ dollar screens.
