Post subject:  Catalyst Drivers 7970

Hey people,

Just a quick question about the latest catalyst drivers. Previously I was running a 6990 and 6970 in trifire. Everything was ok. I was able to setup shortcut keys to switch between
- a desktop that spanned three screens (e.g. windows taskbar stretched across all three) which was perfect for gaming in eyefinity.
- three individual desktops. One has the windows taskbar, the others were empty desktops. This was perfect for working and allowing correct maximisation of windows such as internet browsers etc.

Since getting the 7970's and moving onto their drivers I'm unable to switch between these as simply. The shortcut key method is still available but rarely works. Most of the time I need to go into the catalyst control centre and manually disable or renable groups and arrangements etc.

Does anyone else have this problem or even have a solution?

Thanks,

Craig

That's weird. I can't seem to find any solution. You could always try sweeping your drivers and put on an older one, but that's not recommended. Second option; you could work around it using Matrox PowerDesk I believe it is called. Has come up in this forum more than once.

That's the solution! (or at least a Part of it ^^ )
