I have called AMD etc. I just downloaded the Catalyst 12.2 which is suppose to support 16k x 16k but cannot get the 4th monitor to display at native res. I have a 6 MDP card and obviously the Apple's are native MDP so I don't have an adapter issue. When I disable Eyeinfinty all 4 monitors run at their native res so this must be a Eyefinity issue no?

What am I missing and is there another way I can run the 4 monitors together at their native res?

I appreciate any advice or direction that can be offered.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I'm fairly sure 4x1 isn't a valid eyefinity configuration, sorry I'm guessing your trying to do 4x1 rather then 3x1 + 1 as you didn't say and 3x1 + 1 should work fine.

Well that would do it!

Yes, I have three working ( have always worked) and those extra three spots on the video card were tempting. Could I ask what is the "extended" monitor and what does it display and how does one do that...a point to where I read that would be awesome.

TIA

Basically an extended monitor creates a another desktop area, independent of any others ie your Eyefinity display area, meaning you can display a game on your Eyefinity display area, and something else on your extended area. Because the image was to hand and displaying at the time, like this:

Game on the Eyefinity display area, TV program on the extended display area.

You can set this up from CCC->Desktop Management->Creating and Arranging Desktops, just right click your spare monitor and tell it to extend.

Thank you!

It worked! The extended monitor serves the function I wanted to have with that 4th 27" monitor.

108" inches of digital bliss.

Again, thanks.
