Hi all,

I have an HP LP3065 30" (2560x1600) and i want to set up 2 monitors on the sides to do a PLP setup.

i know about the lack of support for this config, but I'm hoping i can run most in windowed until AMD figures out how many people want this and support it.

My question is this:

my options for side monitors are limited, i currently am looking at two 19" wide 1440x900. for one, they are cheap (about $99) and two i love the 30" but want a little extra on the sides.

How will resolution work for this in games? i am thinking I can run the 30" at 2304x1440 and the 2 sides at 1440x900 for a total of 4104x1440, will this work?

A little weird actually, if it were me, I'd pick up some cheap dell 2007fp's and run 1200x1600 + 2560x1600 + 1200x1600.

Also, You can just run 2560x1440 if you want to go with a 1440p resolution. I personally think scaling looks bad. With 2560x1440 you'll have bars on the top and bottom of the screen and it'll look crisp.

Bit of an old post but figured I would share.

I ran the 19x30x19 PLP for a while and it was ok, but the mismatched pixels and size got on my nerves. So I went to ebay and found 2x dell 2007FP monitors for $140 each....and holy crap!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER!

Thanks for the advice bro!

yes, I use SoftTh for the following titles with no issue:

Left4Dead2
COD Black ops
Portal2
TeamFortress2

Eyefinity does not support this setup (Which is horrible, but hey, what can we do)

I found a fix for BF3 as well, but is a frame rate killer (runs about 30 - 35 FPS at best)

I use two programs:

1) ultramon (ya, I know, but it works for this for some reason)
2) BF3Borderless-1.2 (from here: http://www.realmware.co.uk/2012/01/bf3-borderless-1-2-released/ )

I start up BF3, switch it to windowed mode at 2560x1600, then use the "stretch to all 3 monitor" button that ultramon puts on the window. Now I am running on all 3 monitors. But in windowed mode with the window boarders.

Then I start up BF3Boarderless-1.2, hit the button, and there it is!! BF3 in fullscreen windowed mode on a PLP.

But, like I said, frame rates are in the 30's with my single 6970
