| Post subject: | 3rd Monitors Max Resolution Not Available |
I currently bought 3 23" Monitors (1920x1080) to run eyefinity with on my single 6950 and am having problems with the monitor connected using the active displayport to dvi adapter. It only shows up to 1600x900 available, when the monitor itself supports 1920x1080. This messes up eyefinity when i create a group because it scales down the other 2 monitors, which run fine at 1920x1080 connected by just dvi. Do i need a different adapter to support the 1920x1080 resolution? Is there some other way i can connect the monitors to get it to work? Any help is much appreciated. |

It doesn't matter which monitor i use. I even used an older monitor of the same resolution. Even when its the only monitor connected, it doesn't show 1920x1080 as a supported resolution. |

In device manager it says Genereic PnP for 2 and it seems to have my old monitor drivers for the 3rd one. I can't find anywhere to download my new monitors drivers as the Asus site doesn't have them. |

Not sure if there's another place to get the drivers other than the Asus site. It doesn't matter which mini displayport i plug it into it does the same thing regardless. How do you create a custom resolution? I've read a couple of threads where some scale down to a custom resolution. Will it work the same way scaling up to a custom resolution, and if so is there a step-by-step guide on how to do so? |

when I have issues with my adapters (and get the dreaded generic pnp error) I just unplug the adapter (or just the usb cable if it has one) amd replug it. Works %95 of the time. The other %5 makes me do it again and it pops up. |

While this thread is hot, I have another question about adding a 4th monitor to my setup. To my understanding, i can only have 2 legacy monitors, so with my setup i would have to get another active adapter. How does the 4th monitor work with an eyefinity group? Can i assign where it is in conjunction to the 3x1 group (above, off to the side, etc.) ? |
