| Post subject: | strange grapich |
I just bought an ATI 6990 grapich card. I play in eyefinity mode. When I'm playing Battlefield I'm getting some strange lines across the screen when I'm moving. I try to link a video on youtube so you can see what i'm talking about. It appears most clearly in the beginning of the video. Can anyone help me? Should i turn anything on or off? Or is it common known with the ATI? Hope anyone can help. I didn have any issues with my ATI 5870 card. Thanks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hCRZGQpzOQ |

Looks like screen tearing. What is you display configuration? Left (Displayport or DVI?), Center (Displayport or DVI?), Right (Displayport or DVI?) Also, which of these monitors is set for primary? Since your using a 6990; I would make either my left or right and center displayport adapted monitors. Run one of the sides off the DVI. If you want to fix the tearing completely, you would have to use all displayport for each of your monitors. |

I will try to explain my setup. the monitor on the left side is connected with the mini active display port. The one on the right is connected with the other mini display port. So the one in the middle is connected with the DVI. So what i can understand from your answer is that I should try to connect one of the side screens with the dvi so it will be the right or left that is the dvi instead of the one in the middle? Or i should by a mini display port more so I don't use DVI at all? And should it be an active adaptor or just an normal one? Thanks for the help so far, hope to hear from you again. |
