I have two ATI 6950 and I'm wanting to set up 5 monitors.

I'm using 5 23" Dell U2311 monitors.

I just can't able 5 monitor to group together.

Please advise on this.

Cannot be done. In CF mode, you are limited to using the ports of the top card, with a limit of four. You can attach more monitors to the bottom card, but that automatically disables CF. Not sure how easy it is to switch in and out of CF like that, but you obviously won't be able to do Eyefinity and CF at the same time with 5 monitors.

You'll need to wait for the AMD 6990.

You will need the new mst (multi stream transport) dp 1.2 hubs or the 6990. The hubs should be out in the spring. This is the way you get 5x1 portrait on the 6 series cards.

You can also get a 5870 eyefinity 6 card, or run SoftTH until the mst hubs come out (I'd just run softTH til then).

At the moment the only true Eyefinity 5x1P option is a 5870 Eyefinity 6. There are some that mess with SoftTH, but that is highly experimental and problematic at best. In a few months there will be DP 1.2 hubs out for approximately $150 each. One hub should enable you to do 5x1 between the hub ports and the ports on your video card.

This is the only reason why I have a 5870 Eyefinity 6 and not a pair of 6950s like you have. Two 6950s unlocked is my current goal in the future. I will wait till the hubs are out until I mess with those cards though. To me functional 5x1P is more important than having the 6950s at the moment.

No idea about the MMH11. One would think if it was the DP 1.2 hubs we've been waiting for that we would have heard about it though. Never heard of the Dell MMH11. Looks to be a knockoff of the TH2G. I wouldn't envision that being able to allow for Eyefinity grouping or portrait rotation. My guess is it behaves like a single virtual screen just like TH2G and not as a DP 1.2 hub which adds ports to a card.

My curiosity is who will be the first to market with these DP 1.2 Hubs? If Matrox want to be meaningful again, I think they should at least try to be in that market. Problem with Matrox is they put a pretty premium on their box pricing.

Nope, that is basically a TH2Go with DP.
