As the title says, I have upgraded to 2x6950s and my set up doesn't work in EF anymore. I have a miniDP to DP adapter then a DP to VGA cable plus 2 DVI. THis set up worked fine with the 5870 but when I enable EF it works but the VGA powered screen just goes blank. Note that the cable is working as during boot up it shows the BIOS and windows boot logo. But as soon as CCC comes online and enables EF it goes blank. My friend who has the exact same set up has the same problem. We are trying a single link apple miniDP to DVI adapter tomorrow. Please note I have hacked my 6950s to be 6970s and the error is the same so it probably applies to 6970s as well. Maybe a problem with the upgraded version of DP on the card (1.2 IIRC)? :cry: |

Very lame. But don't those have a have a single-link DVI which allows you do to DVI/DVi/HDMI or something? |

Omg, another problem with AMD. I'm using HP dp->vga adapter on my 5850 http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/za/en/sm/WF06c/A1-329290-64265-3965876-3965876-3895841-3895844.html So I have potential risk to experience problems with 69XX? Again and again I'm thinking of Nvidia cards. What adapter you have ordered now? |

I ordered the Accell (Eyefinity cert) mini DP to DVI adapter, active single link and it works fine. I got it this morning |

I have the HD 6870 ... not HD 69xx card ... and the Monster-brand VGA adapter is working for me, although at a reduced image quality from what I had on my HD 5770. I have it configured like this: Mini-DP->DP adapter + Monster-brand DP->VGA adapter connected to a VGA cable to my monitor's VGA input port. I've already tried two different ACCELL Mini-DP ACTIVE Adapters to DVI and they do NOT work for me. AMD Technicians are now claiming that it's due to an unrecognized EDID from my ViewSonic monitors. Any of my three monitors that are connected via the Mini-DP on the HD6870 get recognized as "fake" display in CCC. The designation in Windows Screen Resolution gets recognized as: Display device on Mobile PC Display. But, as soon as I connect it via the above VGA configuration, everything gets recognized properly. |
