Here is a monitor system I am considering as a cheap solution to ultrawidescreen gaming and productivity work. Looks dandy. I laughed a bit at the "Eyefinity on the cheap" idea, but you sem to ahve a fair job of pulling it off. But what video card do you have? Luckily, running 3x 1440x900 will be relatively easy on resources, so a beast shouldn't be necessary. |

Looks dandy. I laughed a bit at the "Eyefinity on the cheap" idea, but you sem to ahve a fair job of pulling it off. I got a XFX 5870. Yeah; at this resolution, anyone should be able do it with a mid range AMD or midrange SLI setup. Also, everyone should note how thin the bezels are on these monitors. I also plan on either removing or trimming the bezel to reduce screen separation even further. |

A single 5870 is mroe than enough, so liong as you've not choked by your CPU. I have a single 5870 and it does well on e 1920x1200 screens. So you'll be laughing. And welcome to WSGF. It's wonderful. |

A single 5870 is mroe than enough, so liong as you've not choked by your CPU. I have a single 5870 and it does well on e 1920x1200 screens. So you'll be laughing. Im not too woried about my CPU right now. C2D @ 4.0Ghz with 4gigs. I can run MOH and BFBC2 maxed @ 1920x1080, x16af, x2AA with min FPS around 40 and average around 60. My CPU is 100% maxed in these two games. Gotta love multicore support. Sandy Bridge and Bulldozer cant come soon enough. |

Personally, I'd go with better spec-ed monitors. That 1440x900 is really low. The 5870 will push 3x1920x1080 in most things (check my review and benchmarks). And, 1600x900 looks great scaled. The higher pixel density will make for a sharper picture. You will upgrade video cards over time that will give you more horsepower, which will be lost on 3x1440x900. Monitors aren't something you only want to invest in once. I'm not making any claims on the qualities of these monitors, but compared to the $109 1440x900 19" Hyundai, I think either of these would be worth the small price increase: Acer 21.5" 1920x1080 $139 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009275 Acer 20" 1600x900 $119 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009218 Dell and HP both have 1600x900 monitors in the $149 range. |

Those monitor's bezels are way too thick. I really want to keep the size under 20" and aspect at 16:10. LED backlighting is a great plus. It just so happens the hyundai fits my needs just fine for the viewing distance i have. Also, having smaller screens with a narrower aspect would give more detail to the periphrial. Its also easier to spot motion change on a smaller screens since your eyes have less to travel. |

Go for it, I games on 3x19"rs for a long time. Unfortunately They each had a 1" Bezel. But it was my first shot at surround gaming and I loved it. I upgraded to 23"rs shortly after ward because I felt I could see enough. Have fun. Though I do foresee monitor upgrades within the next 6 months. |

I really think your going to regret going with those monitors. I can personally vouch for those 21.5 inch acer's ibrin posted and I would seriously consider getting those. If bezels are your main concern, I have proof the monitor casing can be taken off for a TINY bezel |
