I currently have 3 monitors plugged in and 1 tv to my 5870 Eyefinity 6/6S/2GD5

TV - HDMI connector that came with graphics card
Monitor 1 - DVI that came with - Dell E2009W
Monitor 2 - DVI that came with - Dell E2009W
Monitor 3 - DVI that I bought - Viewsonic something

I don't know why eyefinity wont recognize it when the extended monitors recognize it. Any ideas?

Well, since the Eyefinity 6/6S/2GD5 model comes stock with 6 mini-displayports I assume you either have your card confused or you're using adapters such as HDMI->miniDP DVI->miniDP. Assuming you have the card correct and you're using adapters to the miniDP slots, then you will want to set up an eyefinity setup through the CCC for the three monitors and then make a 2nd group for the TV. Assuming you have the card mixed up (which it sounds like it since you listed 3 DVI and 1 HDMI, hinting at a 2 DVI, 1 DVI->DP, and 1 HDMI) you're shit out of luck, as you can't run the TV while running the eyefinity resolution at the same time since the DP and HDMI share clocks.

In case your still confused I mean
DVI - Mini Display Port x 3
HDMI - Mini Display Port

I cannot create more than 1 group.
I created a 2x1 group its fine but then when I try to create another group on the 2x1 it says click on the screen lit blue (the screen lit blue is only 1,1 on the 2x1 eyefinity) and I click on everything and every button is grayed out and I cannot ever move fast that screen.

So if I'm understanding BRPunk correctly,

Even with the 6 mini display ports, you need to run a MiniDisplay port to Regular sized Displayport plug, then run an adapter from that Display port to DVI (If that happens to be your connection type)?

You can't just run 3 mini DP to DVI lines?

Why can't I run 3 DVI's to mini diplay ports? My graphic card supports only 6 mini display ports why do I need all these adaptors?

The cards are only capable of outputing to two DVI sources. The other connections need to be converted from displayport into DVI using active displayport converters.

The adapters that come with the card and other cheap adapters are passive adapters which means they dont actually convert the signal from displayport to DVI they instead pass through the DVI signal on the displayport adapter. Since you can only do this twice that is the problem.

You need to get at least 2 active displayport adapters to get 4 screens working without native displayport monitors.

You need an adapter like this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-223-SP

oh that makes sence. Weak, but makes sence. I wish ati did a better job at explaining this especially since they givE you 5 adaptors that's really can't be used

Good morning, i had the same thoughts,

i would say you did not inform yourself correctly as i did it not:

So my first try with passive adapters did not work, as it is shown in the grafic. With 1 dp monitor and 2 over div almost everything is fine.

4x minidp @ dp + dp @vga
