I'm just about to pull the trigger on an eyefinity setup (already have 2 24" monitors) but I need to know how well it works for things other than games. Basically, I want to know if windows will treat each monitor separately or if it treats them all as one. Window management would be a huge pain if it all acts as one monitor.

So, anyone with a eyefinity setup have any insight as to how well it works when you're not gaming? Thanks

It works well for work also.

windows can treat the 3 monitor as separate or as a single large one.

I use 3 spearate monitor mode when I need to do work and switch to a single large one for games only.

the only down side of eyefninty is
1) possible need for a adapter if you currnot monitor don't have DP input
2) have to switch to Vista or Windows 7 if you are using XP or triple monitor won't work

Awesome, that was my only real reservation with eyefinity. I know I have to get a DP adapter, and I've been using Win7 since Beta 1, so no big surprises.

Thanks for the info. I can't wait.
