What are you planning to run with that? 6 30" monitors?

As it's a state secret, someone at AMD could tell you, but then they'd have to kill you.

Now seriously, what's the latest and most probable release date?
Any insight would be appreciated!

My guess is they'll sit on it till 300-series is released and put it against the nVidia launch to combat things.

I'm not a marketing expert but should they not try to make the best out of their head start, i.e. sell as many of their cards before nv catches the buyers' attention?

If this was a card game, why would you be anxious to show all the cards in your hand? This is a tug-o-war based on card specs, what would ATI have to combat nVidia with later if they released everything now?

On another forum (OCN) they're dead set on the release date being Oct. 22nd. Not too sure about that, but I suppose it's possible.

However, if I was AMD (which I'm not...) I'd hold off on the 5870X2 release (more time for drivers!) until about a week before GT300 launched. The longer they've got for drivers, the more chance of CF+EF working together without issues... or at least minimal issues...
