I hope one of those single GPU 5870 cards can match the power of my single 9800gx2

A single 285gtx is way more powerful than a 9800gx2, even a 8800u also is at very high res, because vram limitations for 9800gx2 (only 512MB framebuffer vs 768 for 8800u and 1GB for 285gtx).

Yeah I'll def hold out for the 2GB VRAM version though.. yummmmm

NDA is up in 2 weeks on it, so 24th probably. So weather thats the hard launch I'm not sure but it sounds like it to me!

This is true.

Somewhere I did read that stock is supposed to be reaching retailers during the next two weeks, so that when the NDAs expire the product will actually be available.

How this actually plays out might be different.
