Nope. I too, have the NA version.
After a fresh format, I've just installed it again with 1.03 and Widescreen option ticked. I still get stretched menus and HUD...
Edit: okay I was looking through the DR adn noticed this:

If your desktop resolution is bezel corrected (5292x1050 in my case) before you start the game, it stretches everything.
The game itself can be set to 5292x1050 and still center everything, but your desktop resolution has to be 5040x1050.
So i tried it, running my desktop at 5760x1200, no BC, and the game looks fine. But although my in-game resolution is still set to my bezel-compensated 6020x1200, it's not used in the game, so it's playing without the compensation. Shit. So close, yet so far. I've tried the Widescreen and Aspect ratio settings in the gameprofile.xml, different Directx versions. Nothing.
I CANNOT get my compensated resolution AND non-stretched game elements to work together, contrary to Leapo's discovery. It's one, or the other. I just tried running my desktop at 5040x1050 and forcing it's compensated counter-part, but still a no-go.
I'd rather have stretched items, than play without the bezel compensation. But for those that can stomach having mis-aligned pictures, it works great.
