What did you use to mux the videos together and recode to h264 at native resolution?

In the comments he says he captures at half size with FRAPS and then compresses the video using VirtualDub and Xvid doing one pass. I have heard that H.264 and full motion game videos compress better using ffdshow tryouts with a single CBR pass at at least 900kb/s.

I tried using x264 as an encoder and youtube didn't know what the hell to do with it. I'm just following the join, convert to xvid, upload method. It works, and youtube supports it.
