Post subject:  Widescreen for Marine Sharpshooter games?
Hello. Marine Sharpshooters are budget FPS from Groove Games. Is there any chance to get real widescreen for these games?
The first two games, use LithTech Engine. (I think this is the same engine from The Operative No One Lives Forever). In the game directory there is text file autoexec.cfg. It is possible to change resolution to 1920x1080, but as I thought the game is stretched.
Marine Sharpshooters 3 and 4 probably use Unreal 2 Engine. Marine Sharpshooters 4 is from 2008 so the game support widescreen but in the option menu the highest resolution is 1600x900 for 16:9 and 1680x1050 for 16:10. Would be better to set 1920x1080.

Ok I found solution for Marine Sharpshooters 3 and 4. In the game folder there is a MarineSharpshooter3.ini. Find line [WinDrv.WindowsClient] then change resolution for example FullscreenViewportX=1920 and FullscreenViewportY=1080. The game works fine without stretched.

In Marine Sharshooter 4 in the game folder there is a MS4.ini. Find line [WinDrv.WindowsClient] then change resolution for example FullscreenViewportX=1920 and FullscreenViewportY=1080. Now the game works in FullHD.

AS I wrote earlier the first two games are stretched in widescreen.

I dont own these Games but if its LithTech Engine you can try jackfustes FIX for No One Lives Forever:

These are a typical low-budget games. Groove Games was specialized in releasing cheap FPS. This fix not work but thanks. After editing auto.cfg I can play at least in 1600x1200 because the biggest possible resolution in the game menu is only 1280x960.
