Greetings everyone, this is my first post on the site, so please let me know if there are any issues with it, but I'm trying to correct a rather weird issue regarding UT2K4's widescreen support.

I recently decided to re-install the Editor's Choice edition of it and came here to figure out how to make it a proper, Hor+ widescreen experience. I followed all the directions and went to play the game, but something just didn't feel right. I'm sure you'll notice it in the screens, but the environment seems to be rendered properly when playing using the .ini fix, however, the weapon models are horribly close to the screen and feel claustrophobic.

1280x960, FOV=90

1920x1080, FOV=106

Any help would be greatly appreciated in resolving this. The Editor's Choice edition is already patched up as high as possible, by the way.[/img]

Looking at the detailed report it seems this is a side-effect of the solution... I didn't see anyone mention it, but the screenshots show the same effect.

That's right. Although not uncommon, "Vert- weapons in Hor+ games" has not been systematically tracked by the WSGF as of yet. All Unreal games have this flaw though. No biggie on screenshots, but it's a drag in actual play. Activating centered weapons and/or mini models may help a bit...
