I was wondering if there is such a thing available here in the forum or somewhere else because I would be interested in learning how to do these hacks myself.

My widescreen plasma has rectangular pixels but a native resolution of 1024x768 so the games played at the native res. look stretched. I know I could be using 1368x768 but then games wouldn't play as smooth and sharp as with the native resolution.

Some games come with an ingame fix to compensate for the rectangular pixels if using a 4:3 res. but many others don't; some hacks found in this forum have helped me doing that externally but there are many other games that I would love to play unstretched.

For example, while Crysis has a proper widescreen support, it would be great if I could get more horizontal FOV to have the correct aspect ratio when using 1024x768 on my plasma. With Far Cry 2, for example, I was able to do that thanks to the Racer_S' FOV hack. Would it be possible to have this hack modified so it would run with the Crysis executable or any other game that would require a similar procedure to just gain horizontal FOV?

I really hope someone can help me with this.

Rgds and thanks in advance.
