Hi guys

My PC is connected to a HDTV via HDMI (therefore digital signal) and I want to play Freelancer on it.

Unfortunately widescreen is not supported and the usual hacks do not work properly. I`ve tried the stretch hack from this site and also Tekagi`s, but everytime my HUD and menus get f***** up. If you want to knoiw in detail, what I mean, I can post some screenshots tomorrow.

Well, what I simply want to do is, forcing the game to show up in 1920x1080 with a strretched 4:3 picture.

I know, that`s not the real deal, the image is stretched and not really widescreen. But I prefer a picture stretched from 4:3 to 16:9, then a misplaced HUD and menus.

Well everyone expects, that the game will stretch automatically set to this resolution in the configs, but it screws up everything: menus got cut off, etc.

Does anyone know what to do?

I`ve found a solution. I`m playing now in 1600x1200 and simultaneously forcing my HDTV to stretch the image.

By the way: If you have an ATI Card, make sure to disable Adaptive AA, it makes some textures to disappear/be transparent!
