Hello everyone. I'm trying to get a little help with this monitor. However what I need might be a little off from the spirit of this forum.

I'm trying to get Starcraft and Baldur's gate and other older, 4:3 games playing on my new PC. I have the LG L194WT-SF monitor. My problem arises in trying to prevent the monitor from scaling the image.

My graphics card is an eVGA nVidia 7600 GT. I'm connected to the monitor by DVI-D.

Now, I have tried to use the options to change digital flat panel scaling using the nVidia Control panel, using fixed ratio, after I've changed the res to something 4:3 like 1024x768.

The problem is, it doesn't scale it to 4:3 with black bars on the sides. It stretches it horizontally with black bars at the top and bottom. It makes no sense. Furthermore, when I bring up the monitors menu, it says the resolution is 1280x1024. It says that no matter if I'm doing fixed aspect scaling, or no scaling at all with a small screen in the senter of the monitor.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
